LACUNY Institute 2015

 
The LACUNY Institute 2015 was focused on Privacy and Surveillance: Library Advocacy for the 21st Century. It featured theoretical and practical talks on subjects ranging from social media to Tor to library privacy policies to e-books. Our keynote speaker was Rainey Reitman, Activism Director of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of the Freedom of the Press Foundation. Alison Macrina of the Library Freedom Project gave our closing talk. The LACUNY Institute 2015 was held on Friday, May 8th at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
