Abstract

APA PsycINFO is a product of the American Psychological Association (APA) and is available through multiple vendors, including APA, EBSCO, OVID, and ProQuest. The database is one of the largest of its kind in the world, specializing in peer-reviewed literature and abstracts in behavioral science and mental health. There is also extensive focus on other secondary subject areas, including neuroscience, business, law, education, and nursing. This review explores the database powered by the EBSCO platform, which is a staple for many academic libraries in the United States. The EBSCO platform is easy to use with options for basic and advanced searches and facilitates cross-database searches. APA PsycINFO on EBSCO is available through subscription and provides access to core citations and abstracts, which are essential for any competitive psychology collection.
