Abstract
From cultural and structural standpoints, this culminating project presents a detailed literature analysis concerning information poverty, along with the required steps to mitigate this occurrence as immigrants settle into their new societies. Centralizing Afro-Caribbean populations in Queens, New York, this study investigates the methods employed by the Queens Borough Public Library system and its community collaborators to address the issue of unequal access to information, using the connectivity, content, human, and justice approaches. Additionally, the research assesses the range of library services the system provides, encompassing diverse educational initiatives and opportunities for civic involvement, all aimed at fostering a more equitable society.
