Abstract
"Frankly, I Thought the Emptiness in Me Would Take Shape as Better Music" explores the the confluence of illness, trauma, transgenerational trauma, history, and hidden threats. This thesis considers the connection of everything: disease, trauma, gender, fear, alienation, family. The first line of the manuscript sums it up: "History overshadows everything."
