Abstract
This portfolio explores the combination and interaction between classical / film scoring composition and modern electronic music production (EDM). The idea comes from my collaboration with a close friend. We have very different musical backgrounds. I have received formal training in composition and film scoring, but I am less experienced in electronic music production. In contrast, my friend is a DJ and music producer who is very skilled in using Ableton and electronic music techniques, but he has not received formal training in music theory or composition. All the pieces in this portfolio were created through collaboration with a partner. Our workflow had a clear division of roles, while still allowing flexibility in the process
