Abstract

With this assignment, teaching candidates will utilize at least two artificial intelligence (AI) tools/resources regularly to plan, teach, or assess. This could be using MagicSchool to generate teaching lesson plan drafts, creating just-right resources for differentiated instruction with Diffit, transcribing recorded lessons with Otter, or evaluating student work with Gradescope. Each tool must be used regularly throughout the clinical experience (at least three times) to build competency and fluidity with AI. A rubric will assess students’ reflection at the end of the semester. In this new age, candidates will be expected to come into any job interview prepared to talk about their AI experience.
