Abstract

This course introduces undergraduate students to the theoretical underpinnings of Emotional intelligence, while also discussing how Emotional Intelligence operates in various contexts, including across the life span. Based on increasing attention over the last few decades, emotional intelligence corresponds to individual differences in the understanding, processing, and management of emotions in different aspects of life. These set of skills have been shown to promote success in life as well as overall well-being.
