Abstract
New York City has more millionaires than any other city in the world –– 65% more than the next city with the highest amount, Tokyo. The top 1% in the city earn an average of about $2.2 million –– almost 42 times the average income of the bottom 99% at $50,107. I set out to make $1 million, and learned that getting to the top is impossible if you're not already there.
