Abstract
It is a pleasure for the CUNY Institute of Mexican Studies to present this anthology. Poetic expression is an essential part of the foundations of a shared culture, which unites us as Spanish speakers. The diversity of syntax, as well as the expressive richness that we present with the authors who participate in this anthology, make this work a representation of the cultural collective that as Spanish-speakers we contribute to this country and the world in general.

Es un placer para el Instituto de Estudios Mexicanos de CUNY, presentar esta antología. La expresión poética forma parte primordial de los cimientos de una cultura compartida, que nos une como hispanohablantes. La diversidad de sintaxis, así como la riqueza expresiva que presentamos con los autores que participan en esta antología, hacen de este trabajo una representación del colectivo cultural que como hispanohablantes contribuimos a este país y al mundo en general.
