Abstract
This teaching material was developed as a result of the CUNY 1969 Teach-in that took place in Summer 2025. The assignment prompts students to consider how the history of past college protests affects us now and will continue to have an impact in the future by playing the role of figures within these movements, close reading primary texts, and eventually researching a campus protest of their own.
