Abstract

Eunha Kim’s paintings and works on paper address the absence of Asian figures in art historical narratives while broadening Western and patriarchal aesthetic ideologies. Combining daily observations with reflections, imagination, and memories, in her works she creates surreal, uncanny, and theatrical compositions based on her personal experiences as an Asian female immigrant.
