Abstract
Maya Edelman’s frame-by-frame animation and drawings are visually inspired by dreams, hypnogogic states, and Soviet animation. Through examining cinematic and literary references the artist discusses themes which she explores in her work, such as the relationship between marginal spaces which have been intentionally polluted , or simply neglected and overlooked, and those who wander or have fallen through the cracks of society.
