Abstract

Influenced by environmental and relational aesthetics, my work draws on my diasporic lineage and the coastal landscape. My art practice is a contemplative meditation on reclamation and repair for Black people and culture, in connection with nature and the natural environment, to oppose selective histories in favor of memory and a collective consciousness of care.
