Abstract

Using documentary photography, thermal imaging, and sound, this thesis traces my practice from photojournalism in the West Bank and Gaza to studio-based art-making. Rooted in personal and family history, the work challenges dominant narratives of the Israeli occupation of Palestine and explores how art can bear witness from a distance.
