Abstract
The role and significance of political parties and interest groups in the U.S. political process; the development, organization functions, the finances of U.S. political parties; campaigning and voting behavior, and the goals and techniques of the major formal and informal pressure groups that influence public policy in the United States. This class will have a special focus on 2024 national elections in the United States.
