Abstract
Suburban Afterlife is a poetry collection rooted in trauma, loss, as well as the speaker's confusion about their place in the world at large, and New Jersey. It follows the speaker on mundane, yet fantastical episodes, while the restorative final section totals sources of loss and pairs them with hope.
